U.S. Operations of Boursan Mannesman Names New CCO
The United States division of Borusan Mannesman – a leading pipe manufacturer in Turkey – has filled the position as chief commercial officer with a seasoned veteran with more than 36 years of experience in the oil and gas industries. George W. Adams, who is excited to have earned the new title, will now be responsible for the OCTG operations in the Western hemisphere. Though he is looking forward to his new role, Adams recognizes the sector he oversees could present quite a few challenges in the years to come.
In a statement Adams said, “Only the companies with strong customer commitment…and an internal employee group committed to quality and service excellence will survive. We have already seen some industry fallout due to the lack of these basic principles and will likely see more in future as some companies fall short of delivery/quality as promised.
Before Adams acquired his new role as chief commercial officer, he previously held the position as OCTG sales (for North and South America) at TMK Ipsco. Before that he worked at British Petroleum Plc. as the materials manager.
